The Mac operating system does have a control panel. Look in the Apple menu (upper left corner of the screen) and select *System Preferences*. Most general system configuration is done here.
To remove and application, most of the time you just drag that application from its current location to the trash. Some residual preference files will remain but they are nothing to worry about. Some applications come with their own uninstall programs, and these should be used where possible.
You should probably not put your email address on a public discussion board such as this one. Spammers harvest them and you will then receive a large number of emails about enlargements of various body parts and other unpleasant offerings. I have asked a forum moderator to edit yours out. Normally when you create a thread such as this, you will be emailed any replies, including a link back to the original, so it should not be hard to find your way back.
