I have a 2006 Macbook Pro running Mac OS X 10.6.8. i have talked to the apple Genius, they told me that the software that the 2006 editon MacBook Pro can run is the LION 10.7 Version ONLY. They have giving me a phone number; 1800-My-Apple, so i can purchace the installation disc. So I did as I was told..
they had told me to that they dont cary the installation disc. So, now i dont know what to do. I was looking forward to installing 10.7 OR 10.8 Mac OS versions into my 2006 MacBook Pro.
I know that the 10.8 (mountain Lion) and 10.9 (Maverick) is not compatible with the 2008 computers and older.
All i want to do is to update the Mac OS software version.
